Provides technical support and guidance on-site, ensuring that construction and engineering activities align with project specifications and engineering standards. This role is key to solving onsite issues and ensuring project quality and safety standards are upheld.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Policies, Guidelines and Protocols: Enforce safety regulations on-site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols to minimize accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical expertise on-site, ensuring that construction activities align with engineering designs and specifications.
- Resource Management: Assist in the management of technical resources and equipment, ensuring optimal usage and availability for construction tasks.
- Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution: Address and resolve technical issues that arise during the construction process, working closely with contractors to maintain project timelines.
- Inspection and Compliance: Conduct on-site inspections to ensure that all activities comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Cross-Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Insights & Reporting: Document technical progress and provide updates to the Project Manager, ensuring any potential issues are identified early.
- Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Relationship Management: Effectively communicate to the Business Unit relevant field updates and developments that impact business development as well as provide advice and guidance to correctly adhere to the new regulations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Must be on a track for attaining a Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
- Knowledge and experience with design software as AGI 32, and electrical, HVAC, CAD/MicroStation/BIM 3D applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering and airports.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam pdf, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated qualities of leadership and hard work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings and specifications.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong attention to detail and can work in a fast-paced environment; an eagerness to learn and apply your engineering skills to develop creative problem-solving designs/ideas.
