Job Description

Your mission

We are looking for an independent and reliable colleague to join our Czech branch and team as a Service Technician
The ideal candidate is a technically oriented person who enjoys information and communication technologies, likes to solve problems and does not mind field work associated with regular travel. This role combines practical work on site with an analytical approach in diagnosing and solving technical problems across the areas of hardware devices, transmission and communication technologies.

Your profile

Duties and responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance and repairs of telecommunications devices within the customer locations (prisons) within the Czech Republic ( primarily východní Čechy, Vysočina, Morava, Slezsko)
  • Diagnostics and incident resolution – remotely and on-site Think about solving technical problems and looking for optimal procedures– in cooperation with customer or internal colleagues.
  • Equipment replacements and repairs (telephones, audio converters, UPS, modems, cabling, etc.)
  • Participation in the installation, activationand testing of newly installed devices for telephone and video calling as part of an ongoing project.
  • Working with service software (incident monitoring, root cause analysis)
  • Cooperation with internal teams in the Czech Republic and abroad (through various online collaborative platforms e.g. Teams, Jira, email, phone)
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance (checks and repairs)
  • Cooperation in spare parts warehouse management
  • Regular travel around the Czech Republic
    (initially 3–5 days a week, later approx. 3 days a week)

Required Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

Professional Experience & Skills

  • Secondary school education in electrical engineering
  • Fluent Czech and ability to communicate in English
  • Driving license category B + active driver
  • User knowledge of working on a PC (MS Office, JIRA, Teams)
  • Good communication skills, as you will be in daily contact with customers and act as a trusted partner for them
  • Independence, reliability and responsibility
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies

Further information

  • Start date as soon as possible
  • It is a fixed-term contract for 12 months with possibility of extension
  • Training will take place partly abroad (Bratislava, Budapest)
  • Occasional business meetings expected in Prague
  • Occasional on-call and stand-by duty based on agreed schedule is part of the role.
