Job Description

Work Location: Brooklyn/Queens, NY (onsite Monday to Friday)

Note: Experience working on MTA projects representing GC is a must

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Field Engineer will be responsible for overseeing daily project activities, coordinating with laborers, and ensuring smooth on-site operations
  • Develop, update and manage submittals, change orders, RFI’s, Project schedule, purchase orders

  • Conformance with the contract documents and for the Contractor’s implementation of quality assurance and quality control

  • Maintain positive relationships and effective communications between all parties involved in the field construction

  • Conduct quality inspections, determine QC deficiencies, if any, and manage corrections when required

  • Coordinate and sequence all field activities, material deliveries and required special inspections. Also, with various parties (supplier, crew, GC, internal)

  • Conduct site survey and hold point inspections

  • Maintain an organized and detailed project records

  • Assist project manager with the oversight of contract administration and any/all onsite construction related issues

  • Administrative duties (daily construction report, photo report, sign in sheets, meeting notes, updating various documents in real time)

  • Actual construction experience and understanding of trade terms/reference

  • Ability to use MS suite (office, word, excel, etc.)

  • English proficient

  • Strong knowledge and experience in working on concrete structures is required

  • Experience working on MTA projects is required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Administrative duties (daily construction report, photo report, sign in sheets, meeting notes, updating various documents in real time)
  • Coordination with various parties (supplier, crew, GC, internal)
  • Ability to read and understand plans/blueprints
  • Actual construction experience, if not, at least basic understanding of trade terms/reference
  • Ability to use MS suite (office, word, excel, etc.)
  • Proficiency in English
