Renison invites applications for the full-time, 20-month contract position of Field Education Coordinator with Renison’s School of Social Work (35 hours per week; grade 15, annual salary range: $58,181.00-$72,726.00). Anticipated start date is August 14, 2023.

Objectives: The Field Education Coordinator supports the delivery of field education at the master’s level social work education in accordance with the university’s policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as Canadian Association for Social Work Education’s (CASWE) accreditation standards. This job coordinates all aspects of field placement process in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the School of Social Work. This role represents Renison in a manner consistent with the values, goals, and strategic directions of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work is required
  • 2-5 years in social work practice, teaching or administration. Experience in an academic institution is preferred.
  • Professional, respectful, and strongly demonstrates Social Work values and the CASW Code of Ethics
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage both internal and external relationships
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, and a strong ability to analyze complex situations
  • Ability to balance competing demands and manage priorities
  • Highly detail oriented, with an aptitude for accuracy
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Highly proficient in computer technology and online learning tools
  • Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality
