Our Field Service team provide on the ground support to homes and business around the country. As a Trainee Field Technician, you will be a friendly face our communities become to recognise as the hero keeping us all connected.


About The Role
As a Field Delivery Telecommunications Trainee, you will work alongside a mentor offering you on going coaching, support and mentoring during your traineeship. You will get hands on training providing our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications / technology products and services, in homes and/or business.

You will actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to Telstra's values and strategy.

We have several positions available around the country. Find the specific locations below. The expectation is to reside in the targeted area or be willing to relocate.

This is a Fixed-term role for 12 months with opportunity for permanency after completion.

What You Bring

  • Hold a current driver's licence.

  • Physically fit for the role.

  • The ability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug alcohol screening.

  • Ability to undertake a police check.

  • Professional and polite communication.

  • Enjoy working in a team environment.

  • Positive attitude and safety-first approach.

  • Be technically minded.


Qualifications
As a Trainee Technician you will be provided with Telecommunication Technology Cert III training during the traineeship along with relevant certifications and/or licencing for the location you reside in.
No qualifications need.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment undertaken by RTO.

Telstra can support you through obtaining a Working With Children Check and White Card.
