At the core of the role

As the Field CTO Industrials (f/m/x), you are the technical and consultative lead for pre-sales activities across Manufacturing, Automotive, and Travel & Transportation. Working closely with account owners and Account Delivery Managers (ADMs), you shape qualified opportunities from the first client conversation through to contract signature.

You lead solution design, architecture definition, and effort estimation for RFIs, RFPs, and framework agreements. By combining business understanding with deep technology expertise, you help clients translate complex challenges into pragmatic first steps, such as discovery engagements, proof of concepts, and pilots, with a clear path to production.

Acting as a trusted advisor to senior technology and operational stakeholders, you guide discussions around AI adoption, architecture modernization, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. You bring together experts from Delivery, the Agentic Factory, and partner ecosystems to ensure solution quality, feasibility, and business value until handover.

As part of the Commercial Industrials organization, you report to the vertical leader and operate in an overlay leadership role without account ownership, delivery responsibility, or direct reports. Your contribution is measured through the success of the opportunities you support, including revenue impact, win rates, and pipeline creation.

Core skills you’ll bring

• Proven experience as a Field CTO, Pre-Sales Lead, Principal Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect, or Technical Consultant within Manufacturing, Automotive, Travel & Transportation, or related industries.
• Demonstrated success leading technical sales engagements from qualification through contract signature, including RFIs, RFPs, framework bids, solution architecture, and effort estimation.
• Strong consultative selling and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently with CIOs, CTOs, Operations leaders, and senior business stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating executive workshops, architecture reviews, AI roadmap discussions, and business case development.
• Broad expertise across cloud, data platforms, integration architectures, APIs, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of AI, GenAI, intelligent automation, and emerging agentic approaches, with the ability to translate technology capabilities into business outcomes.
• Ability to transform complex business challenges into practical and scalable solution approaches.
• Collaborative mindset with experience coordinating commercial, technical, delivery, and partner stakeholders.
• Fluent English (Advanced) and professional German language skills at C1 level.
• Based in Germany with willingness to travel across Western Europe as needed.

The impact you'll create

• Lead the technical side of qualified opportunities from initial engagement through contract signature.
• Partner with account owners and Account Delivery Managers (ADMs) to shape solution strategies and drive qualified opportunities forward.
• Own solution design, architecture, and effort estimation for RFIs, RFPs, framework bids, presentations, and technical workshops.
• Convert business challenges into discovery engagements, proof of concepts, and pilot initiatives with a clear path to production.
• Act as a trusted technology advisor to CIOs, CTOs, and Operations leaders, facilitating AI roadmap sessions, architecture reviews, and business case discussions.
• Orchestrate experts from Delivery, the Agentic Factory, and partner organizations while maintaining accountability for solution quality until handover.
• Represent Avenga at industry events, conferences, executive briefings, customer roundtables, and trade press activities.
• Contribute to industry-focused offerings, reference architectures, demos, and case studies; coach Business Development teams on technical discovery and qualification; and support revenue growth, win rates, and pipeline creation through technical leadership and advisory engagement.
