As a Crew Leader, you will be an essential and valued team member responsible for performing and overseeing tree and shrub care services on residential and commercial properties. Working directly alongside your crew, you will manage daily job-site execution while representing Joshua Tree Experts. This is a customer-facing role that requires clear communication, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with homeowners, property managers, sales arborists, and crew members. Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Fieldwork: Perform and delegate a complete range of arboriculture services (tree risk assessment, pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and growth management); safely operate specialized machinery including Spyder lifts, bucket lifts, loaders, and various saws.
• Job-Site Leadership & Safety: Oversee daily job-site execution to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently; learn, understand, and enforce company safety rules and regulations.
• Equipment Care: Monitor, maintain, and properly care for all assigned equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Client & Team Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with crew members, supervisors, and sales arborists; interact directly with clients during service delivery to guarantee total satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tree care (including pruning, trimming, and removals)
• Excellent understanding of tree care operations and safety practices
• Strong ability to climb and navigate trees safely and efficiently
• Extensive knowledge of tree species, plant diseases, and proper care techniques
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders
• Excellent problem-solving skills and on-the-job decision-making abilities
• Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and supervisors
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• CDL-B License
• ISA Certified Arborist
