The Air Auditor plays a critical role in evaluating and optimizing complex compressed air systems for industrial clients. This position requires a sophisticated balance of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and consultative problem-solving. You will manage the end-to-end audit lifecycle—from initial technical analysis to post-audit solution delivery—partnering with customers to drive operational efficiency, significantly reduce energy costs, and ensure long-term environmental sustainability.
1. Technical System Evaluation
System Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of compressed air systems, ensuring a deep understanding of air quality standards and specific industrial requirements.
Equipment Proficiency:
Assess various types of air compressors and their operation modes to identify performance gaps and mechanical inefficiencies.
Energy Auditing:
Utilize advanced audit tools and data-logging equipment to conduct energy audits and perform precise calculations regarding compressed air system operating costs.
2. Solution Development & Standards Compliance
Regulatory Knowledge:
Ensure all audits and proposed solutions adhere to relevant local and international industrial standards, including ASME EA-4, $ISO$ 11011, $CSA$ C837, and $ISO$ 8573.
Efficiency Strategy:
Propose customized technical solutions and system optimizations aimed at achieving measurable energy savings and cost reduction.
Documentation:
Prepare detailed audit reports, technical findings, and ROI presentations for customer stakeholders.
3. Customer Engagement & Support
Technical Consultation:
Act as a technical subject matter expert for clients, explaining complex data findings in a clear, actionable manner.
Follow-up:
Manage the post-audit follow-up process to track implementation success and provide additional technical guidance as needed.
Education & Experience
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience:
2–3 years of professional service experience, preferably within the air compressor industry or energy management sector.
Certification:
Being a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or having attended the Energy Manager Training Course is highly advantageous.
Technical Competencies
Analytical Mindset:
Strong ability to interpret complex wiring schematics, equipment diagrams, and data sets.
Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel for data analysis).
System Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of compressed air systems and industrial pneumatic applications.
