Field Area Manager

ENERCON is looking to hire an ambitious individual for the position of Field Area Manager to lead and develop its service operations in Iceland.

ENERCON is looking to hire an ambitious individual for the position of Field Area Manager to lead and develop its service operations in Iceland.

The Regional Manager works in a fast-paced and demanding operating environment where organization and processes are still being formed. The person in question will be responsible for services in Iceland and lead local solutions.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the operation of Iceland's first industrial-scale wind farm. The wind farm's service center will be located in Hella.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Day-to-day operation of services and security in environments where conditions can change and processes are not always predefined
• Ensure operational efficiencies, including cost control, inventory control, and part procurement
• Be responsible for all local installation operations, including service vehicles, tools, transportation, and support infrastructure
• Lead, support and train a team of service technicians
• Plan and oversee maintenance as well as identify preventative operational challenges and drive continuous improvement
• Maintain strong communication with customers and various stakeholders
• Ensure that all operations comply with Icelandic laws, safety requirements and company policies
• Manage key service indicators and submit regular reports on the status and necessary actions

Education and qualification requirements

• University education that is useful in the job, e.g. in the field of engineering or technology
• Experience in field service and team management
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to identify operational challenges and lead improvement projects
• Good leadership, initiative and imagination
• Good organizational skills, especially in terms of transportation and shift organization
• Very good command of written and spoken English

The job involves a lot of travel between countries during the first year, where training takes place in Sweden and Germany, among other places.
