For our Service & Support team in Germany we are looking for an Field Application Specialist (m/w/d) for west Germany.

Responsibilities

Working to empower our customers to leverage our cutting-edge molecular diagnostic solutions. You'll be at the forefront of customer success, providing expert training and application support for our instruments, software, and test kits in the exciting field of automated nucleic acid analysis and detection. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact on laboratories worldwide.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Become a Knowledge Leader: Deliver comprehensive training sessions on our instruments, software, and test kits (focusing on automated nucleic acid analysis and detection) to customers globally, both in person at their laboratories and our Nehren site, as well as through engaging online training sessions and webinars.
  • Craft Engaging Learning Experiences: Develop and maintain high-quality training materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and clear technical documentation to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Champion Quality and Compliance: Ensure all documentation adheres to stringent quality management systems, in accordance with ISO 13485 standards.
  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Provide expert guidance and application support to our valued laboratory customers in Germany and internationally, assisting them with the effective implementation and evaluation of our advanced molecular test systems.
  • Drive Product Success: Collaborate closely with Product Management and Sales teams to support the successful market introduction of new and innovative products, contributing your valuable application insights.
  • Contribute to Team Excellence: Actively participate in company-wide projects, bringing your application expertise to cross-functional initiatives.
  • Solve Challenges and Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Take ownership of customer complaints, conducting thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis to implement effective corrective actions as part of our 2nd level support.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent technical college qualification) in a relevant natural science discipline such as Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A strong technical aptitude with a genuine interest and understanding of IT-related topics.
  • (Advantageous) Theoretical and hands-on experience with contemporary DNA/RNA detection methodologies.
  • A confident, approachable, and professional demeanor when interacting with customers.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • (Desirable) Previous experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrating your ability to build rapport and provide excellent support.
  • (Advantageous) Prior experience as a trainer, showcasing your ability to effectively educate and engage diverse audiences.
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills, coupled with resilience and a proactive approach to your work.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken German and English are essential. Knowledge of French would be a significant plus.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite applications.
  • A willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50-75%) to customer sites, along with a valid driver's license.
