As a Field Applications Specialist, you will provide Molecular Diagnostics and Clinical Diagnostics support for new and existing customers. In this role you will provide highly visible customer support through the performance of moderately complex on-site installation, and customer training, reagent applications and product conversions for Molecular Diagnostics/Clinical Diagnostics-Donor Screening instruments, applications, and products. You will use your technical expertise to drive customer satisfaction and to increase sales revenue by identifying opportunities for innovation.

The Field Applications Specialist supports technical issues at new and existing customers, including:

  • Analyzer, consumable, and reagent support
  • New application installation and support
  • Conduct on-site training seminars for customers for instrumentation and applications, including retraining/follow-up training
  • Response to customer requests for technical assistance
  • Assistance to support reagent/software conversions
  • Provides sale support for new product launches and product conversions

This field-based role involves up to 75% overnight travel throughout the United States.

Our ideal candidate would reside within 1 hour from a major US airport.

While we have significant account presence in Texas and Tennessee and would welcome candidates from these regions, residency in these states is not required—we're seeking talented professionals who can support our nationwide operations from a location that facilitates frequent travel.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Cell Biology or Biochemistry, or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, and/or relevant experience
  • 3 years of previous experience in a clinical laboratory or IT in a clinical lab environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of previous experience in a clinical laboratory as a bench tech or in a donor screening environment
  • Ability to learn Roche solutions (i.e. chemistry, immunology, molecular, life sciences, IT solutions), and stay current with industry trends
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills as well as project management experience
  • Effective customer consultative skills which includes advanced scientific knowledge and analysis, exceptional customer engagement, and fostering of strong customer relationships
  • Can work as a field-based individual contributor with independence and autonomy.
  • Effective planning/organizational/time management skills

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Texas is $69,600-$129,200 USD annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
