You’re more than a Field Application Engineer but rather an Application Consultant and a critical contributor to the success of Aitech.

The Field Applications Engineer serves as the primary technical point of contact for Aitech US customers, combining deep engineering expertise with customer-facing sales and support responsibilities. This role bridges the gap between customer requirements and Aitech solutions across the Space and Mil/Aero product portfolio.

Technical Customer Engagement & Support

  • Serve as contact for Aitech US customers with technical or customer service queries virtually and in person conversations
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support
  • Train customers on Aitech products within their projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the space and defense sector
  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients and prospective customers

Business Development & System Solutions

  • Collaborate with the business development team to identify solution sets that meet customer requirements
  • Evaluate customer requirements and provide personalized solutions
  • Provide customer feedback and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance products
  • Stay current on the latest advancements and trends in space and defense technology

Internal Collaboration

  • Communicate with Operations and Engineering to identify customer solutions and resolve technical issues
  • Work with Program Managers, R&D, and Engineering to promote and schedule technical fixes
  • Act as liaison between clients and internal teams, surfacing actionable insights to improve products and services
  • Assist in preparing customer-facing documentation

Aitech offers a competitive total rewards package aligned with the individual’s skills, knowledge, and experience, and in line with both internal standards and external market practices. The expected annual salary range for this role is $95,000 - $130,000 a year.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of embedded hardware/software development or support
  • Interest in customer-facing experience and working with customers and partners
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline — or equivalent professional work experience.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications

  • PCIe, Ethernet or cPCI systems; familiarity with PC, ARM or embedded systems architecture
  • Experience with high speed and low speed serial interfaces
  • Experience in defense and space applications development or support
  • Knowledge of NVIDIA embedded GPGPU technologies and applications
  • Experience with embedded and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Windows 10 experience in embedded or rugged application environments.
  • Presentation skills; ability to communicate with customers, sales teams, and engineering colleagues
  • Experience managing work releases
  • Familiarity with cross-functional planning in a hardware product environmental planning in a hardware product environment.
