Job Description

MyDefence is seeking a technically strong and customer-focused Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support the successful introduction, deployment and operation of its counter-drone solutions across Poland and additional regional markets.

The Field Application Engineer plays a key role in supporting customer engagements, translating operational requirements into functional system configurations and ensuring successful deployment and validation of systems in the field. Reporting directly to the Country Director, Poland, the role combines technical expertise, customer interaction and operational support to ensure high customer satisfaction and reliable system performance.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with advanced defence and security technologies in a dynamic and rapidly evolving operational environment.

The role is based in Poland and requires international travel to support customers, demonstrations and project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as technical advisor in customer engagements and support regional sales activities with technical expertise

• Translate operational requirements into system configurations and deployment solutions

• Support product demonstrations, trials and proof-of-concept activities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical clarification during sales processes

• Define and execute Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures

• Ensure correct system configuration, calibration and validation

• Supervise network setup and system integration in collaboration with relevant technical resources

• Conduct customer training sessions and technical briefings

• Provide second-level technical support and assist customers during operational use

• Ensure proper technical handover from sales to operational deployment

• Collect and structure field feedback to support continuous improvement

• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to support product improvements and regional localization requirements

The Field Application Engineer operates independently within the assigned region while collaborating closely with Sales, Product Management, Technical Support and R&D teams to ensure successful customer implementation and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Technical background within engineering, electronics or a similar technical discipline

• Experience with radio systems, RF technologies or GPS-based systems

• Military, defence or security-related experience is considered an advantage

• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions to customers and stakeholders across cultures

• Ability to remain composed and solution-oriented in operationally demanding or time-critical situations

• Structured, proactive and capable of anticipating and resolving technical challenges independently

• Comfortable operating autonomously within the region while maintaining accountability for delivery quality

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across technical and commercial functions

• Relationship-oriented with strong stakeholder management skills

Security Clearance

• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain relevant security clearance
