Responsibilities & Skills

We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) responsible for Lattice customers in EMEA. Responsible for giving product presentations to the customer describing how Lattice products provide the optimum solution to their application.

As an FAE in the Lattice sales organization, you will be responsible for assisting customers with the design and implementation of their product requirements utilizing our FPGA based solutions.

By understanding our customer's system requirements and guiding them in the use of our products and development flow, we enable our customers to bring competitive products to market. This role will have a significant engineering component along with interpersonal skills required to interface with a broad range of customers. Responsibilities May Include

Trusted Technical Advisor

  • Acts as a credible technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Influences technical decisions through sound recommendations

Project Management & Execution

  • Manages customer projects end‑to‑end, including scope, timing, risks, and stakeholders
  • Balances technical depth with delivery and business priorities

Customer Communication & Engagement

  • Leads complex technical discussions with customers
  • Aligns multiple stakeholders around technical solutions

FPGA & Design Expertise

  • Strong hands‑on expertise in FPGA architectures, tools, and debug
  • Guides customers through design trade‑offs and optimization

System & Industry Understanding

  • Good understanding of system architectures in key industry segments or ability to ramp up quickly
  • Applies system‑level thinking to customer solutions

Proactivity & Risk Management

  • Anticipates technical and schedule risks and mitigates them proactively
  • Takes ownership from problem identification to resolution

Cross‑Functional & Cross‑Cultural Effectiveness

  • Drives alignment across Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Support
  • Works effectively with international customers and internal teams

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in FPGA and/or ASIC design, including experience designing with VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog or other HLD development tools (Radiant, Diamond, Quartus, Vivado, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentations skills, and the ability to work with multiple groups and projects.
  • Fluent English and the respective national language.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer support or customer facing role a plus
  • Other European Languages
