Job Description

JOB MAIN PURPOSE

  • Conduct high quality biological efficacy screening and development field trials from all crop protection indications at Agronomic Technology Center Southeast Asia (ATC-SEA).
  • Provide support for establishing biological profiles and providing clear technical information of research compounds to support Global and Regional product development decision-making.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and organize all pertinent trial activities and maintenance for field and screenhouse testing in all indications with focus on Pest, Disease and Weed management about 30 field trials (combined Global and Regional trials) to be handled per year.
  • Ensure proper preparation of the test compounds for field application critical to trial quality including treatment applications, assessments and upkeep of test plots for the whole trial duration.
  • Assess, collect, consolidate and enter all trial data into trial database program. Analyze and interpret results of finished Agronomic Solutions and Regional development trials and provide interim recommendations for future action plans on candidate compounds based on interpretation of trial results.
  • Support field-to-laboratory research activities including insect rearing, bioassays, resistance monitoring, and beneficials safety profiling to accelerate innovation and development decisions in crop protection.
  • Maintain and improve experimental sites and equipment in close coordination with the Site Operations in order to strictly comply with the company policies regarding expenses and contracted services.
  • Ensure safety in all work-related activities, protection of health for all workers in and off-site/station, and awareness in the protection of the environment in close coordination with Safety Officer.
  • Being fully aware of company guidelines and acts responsibly and honestly. Always set and achieve high personal ethical standards.
  • Act as a good team player.

YOUR KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Protection, Crop Science, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome; prior experience in agronomy, crop protection, field research, or biological efficacy trials is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of pest, disease, and weed management, and agricultural production systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with good organizational skills and willingness to work in field-based research activities.
  • Good English communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
