UK FX Hedge Fund Sales – Associate / Vice President

Department Profile:

The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products Sales & Trading

From the largest global institutions to innovative new hedge funds, investors come to Morgan Stanley for sales, trading, and market-making services in almost every type of financial instruments including stocks, bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange, and commodities. Our professionals provide liquidity and content to clients around the world, actively assessing and managing risk, trading securities, and planning and executing transactions in the fast-changing markets. As the needs of our clients become increasingly complex, we often develop customized solutions.

Role Responsibilities:

We are looking for a salesperson to join the FX UK Institutions Sales Team to assist in covering a multitude of clients, including asset managers, hedge funds and systematic funds. This is a client-facing role with the following role responsibilities.

• Client coverage for UK Hedge Fund accounts
• Provide real-time updates across flow and market analysis, along with FX execution services
• Management of post-trade workflow and client prospecting
• In addition to interacting with external clients, each candidate will be expected to collaborate across various internal sales (both locally and internationally), trading desks (linear and derivative products), strats and support teams throughout each day
• The candidate should have a strong self-starter mindset and be able to thrive in fast-paced and changing environment

Key Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Previous experience selling to institutional clients
• Strong problem-solving skills, easily able to navigate and simplify complex processes
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit
