Job Description

Respected telecoms and utilities service provider requires Fibre Planners to be based at their Hertfordshire office.

Touching on utilities as well, the role will involve planning and design for civils / street works projects.

Duties:

• Planning and design of diversions, cable / fibre routes, new connections, network upgrades etc
• Creating Special Engineering Difficulty lists
• Liaising with councils and other authorities
• Putting together job packs and paving schedules
• Preparing cable pack designs, including PIA documentation
• Reviewing new routes and issuing drawings for surveys
• Collecting information on as-builts
• Bring together relevant information for job packs and client handover
• RAMS
• Preparing programme of work, monitoring project progress
• Creating reports
• Ensuring adherence to company policies, industry legislation and health and safety

Experience and Requirements:

• Background in telecoms design
• Knowledge of BT Openreach PIA
• SSSTS (desirable)
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Driving licence
