Job Description

Why we need this role

We rely on a site manager who can coordinate complex on‑site installations, stay organized under pressure, and keep communication flowing between Colt, customers, and local authorities. This role ensures that new and existing fiber‑optic routes are planned and executed smoothly, with all stakeholder requirements aligned.

FTC of 3 years.

What you'll do

  • Deliver passive fiber‑optic infrastructure for network expansions and customer projects.

  • Plan, organize, and oversee multiple passive networks to ensure smooth operations.

  • Manage construction activities across backbone and wide‑area network projects.

  • Coordinate with cities, communities, customers, suppliers, and all project stakeholders, balancing cost efficiency with customer needs.

  • Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure accurate and effective delivery of customer solutions.

  • Create detailed project documentation, including written records and photo evidence of site conditions and build progress.

  • Perform quality checks on subcontractor work and verify their bill of quantities.

  • Troubleshoot issues in passive fiber‑optic networks, including customer locations.

  • Handle rights‑of‑way processes in line with the Telecommunications Act.

  • Carry out essential administrative tasks that keep projects running smoothly.

What we’re looking for

  • Affinity with technical and commercial topics (e.g. tasks in fiber optic expansion)
  • Structured way of working, stress-resistant organizational talent
  • Strong customer and service orientation
  • Experience in handling local authorities for construction permit and RoW topics
  • First experience with programs such as Siebel, Ariba or SAP is a great advantage
  • Very good knowledge of German
  • Good English knowledge
  • Drivers license class B
