A Splicing Apprentice works with direct supervision and guidance from a Senior Level Splicer. Duties include splicing, testing and troubleshooting fiber optic cable. Individuals classified as Entry Level are typically those that are new to the telecommunications field. Individuals in this classification typically hold no certifications but are willing and able to accept direction, guidance and critique from individuals in advanced classifications. Entry Level Splicers will be tasked with learning to read prints and understand the fiber optic color code to splice and test fiber cable in a variety of environments (underground, aerial).
Must be willing to travel out of state and work a 21 on and 10 off rotational schedule.
