of Role:

SRI Telecom is seeking an Entry Level Fiber Splicer / Outside Plant Technician to support the installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic infrastructure in the field. This role works alongside experienced technicians to assist with Outside Plant (OSP) construction, network expansions, and ongoing maintenance activities. This is a hands-on, field-based position ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in fiber and telecommunications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing in both indoor and outdoor environments
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain outside plant equipment; aerial and underground cables
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of projects and provide support as needed
• Conduct Thorough inspections and document all splicing and installation activities
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Aerial Lift Certification preferred but not required
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
