Fiber Project Manager - Operations

• Project management experience within fiber or telecom-related environments
• Experience working with local authorities and municipalities
• A driver’s license and comfort with on-site work
• Fluent Finnish (mandatory) and proficient English skills
• Based on or willing to relocate to Helsinki

About the role and the team:

At GlobalConnect, we don’t just build infrastructure. We safeguard it. As a Fiber Project Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in making sure our fiber network stays safe, smart, and ready for the future.

You’ll be part of a dedicated team ensuring that our cables are exactly where they need to be — and not where they shouldn’t. From managing contractors to liaising with local authorities and planning maintenance or repairs, you’ll work to minimize disruptions, avoid incidents, and keep the quality high and costs down.

Some days will be about measurements and inspections. Others about coordinating forced fiber moves, reviewing plans, or solving unexpected hiccups. But every day will be about protecting what keeps Finland connected.

What you’ll be working on:

• Handling maintenance, fiber relocations and permanent repairs across the Finnish fiber network
• Ensure quality of fiber network handover from construction to operations.
• Acting as the go-to person for local authorities, municipalities, and contractors
• Planning and executing projects that prevent damage and reduce downtime
• Making decisions that balance budget and quality
• Participating in ongoing improvement initiatives within the team
