Zayo is seeking a Fiber Engineer Internto designphysicalfiber path across the Zayo network in support of providing fiber-based services. Our Fiber Engineer Internwill also manage the inventory of the Zayo fiber network through database tracking of fiber enclosures, fiber optic cable, conduit, building data, and more Our Fiber Engineer Internwill report to the Fiber Engineering Manager, with regular interaction with the Outside Plant Team, GIS Specialists, Sales Engineering, and Fiber Visualization Specialists.

Responsibilities:

· Researchesexisting databases, files, and records for purposes of network design, fiber optimization, and relocation of fiber facilities.

· Ensures fiber optic database is current and accurateby inputting data of physical fiber assets and fiber enclosures into the data management system.

· Ensures inventory of fiber circuits is accurateby inputting fiber usage data into inventory management database andmaintaininginformation as changes occur.

· Establishes and maintains effective communications and professional working relationships with internal customers.

· Organizes workday efficiently to maximize productivity by utilizingproper time management techniques.

· Assists in the accomplishment of company objectivesby performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Enrollment in aFour YearCollege Degree or certificate seeking program in Engineering or related Telecom Network field.

• Knowledge of GIS-based platforms such as GESmallworld, Network Manager, OSPI,arcGIS, etc.preferred

• Applicants must have completed their sophomore year and be enrolled in a degree or certificate seeking program for the fall semester of 2026.

• Candidate must be located in the Denver, CO area and willing to work in a hybrid style (2-3x days/week) from our Denver, CO office for the duration of the program.

• Proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools including MS Visio. Knowledge ofSalesforce.complatform is a plus.

• Ability to correspond effectively with a variety of functional teams and strong interpersonal skills for supporting cross functional teams.

• Knowledge of design techniques,toolsand the ability to function independently of supervision.

• Proficient analytical, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize assignments.

• Demonstrated ability toutilizedatabase management softwaresystem

Estimated base pay range for this role: $23.00-$25.00 USD/hour.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
