A career with the Allo Drop team (FTTP) is both challenging and rewarding. Since there are no two homes or buildings alike, installing fiber to the premise (FTTP) requires mental flexibility, physical dexterity, and a willingness to constantly adapt to changing conditions. There is no “business as usual” in this position, you’ll arrive on the job each day to find a totally new environment, new questions, new challenges, and new ways to get the job done right. Knowledge and experience are essential to ALLO’s mission, and while applicants do not need telecommunications or construction experience, character is important, and we will train the right people. EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferredphysical labor experience
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of ALLO construction procedures.
Ability to gainknowledge of fiber construction and material.
Basic knowledge of Excel, MicrosoftWordand the ability to learnSmartsheets
Ability tocommunicate with internal and external customers,contractorsand company employees.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Ability to travel outside of the home office area for extended periods of time based on project and businessneed
Must be able to
Must be minimum 21yrsof age, DOT requirement to cross state lines
Operate a company vehicle
Ability tomaintaina valid driver’s license
Pull a trailer with equipment loaded on it
Includes hooking up and backing up
Able to do general maintenance for vehicle and trailers
Work DOT inspection sheet and obtain DOT physical
Keep truck and trailer clean and organized
Work power tools
Climb ladder up to 35’
Run heavy walk behind machinery
Read a measuring tape
Utilize personal cell phone for business purposes
Work solo or with a team
Work with small items i.e., splice ends,snipsand cleavers (will teach right candidate)
Be punctual and ready to work
Ability to drive a lift truck (preferred notrequired)
