Provides services in the area of financial planning, accounting, controlling, reporting, performance management, tax, investor relations, treasury, and mergers and acquisitions.
Subfamily Description
Global Accounting (GAC) comprises global end-to-end accounting processes with high quality, timeliness, and continuous efficiency improvement. Covers processing of accounting transactions to ensure accurate reporting in accordance to Nokia's accounting and reporting principles and local statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the complete fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairments, and disposals, ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
Perform monthly reconciliations between the fixed asset sub-ledger and general ledger, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of accounting issues.
Prepare, review, and post accurate journal entries related to fixed assets, depreciation, asset additions, retirements, and adjustments.
Support internal and external financial reporting requirements by preparing fixed asset schedules, disclosures, audit documentation, and management reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and governance requirements while supporting internal and external audit activities.
Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for key financial metrics, including fixed assets, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, capital expenditure, and departmental spend analysis.
Utilize AI-driven tools and analytics to support predictive financial modeling, forecasting, anomaly detection, fraud prevention, expense analysis, and identification of unusual transactions.
Drive automation of finance and accounting processes through Power Apps, Power Automate, and other low-code/no-code platforms to improve efficiency, controls, and user experience.
Design, develop, and optimize Excel VBA macros and automated solutions to streamline data extraction, reconciliations, report generation, and recurring accounting activities.
Partner with business stakeholders to improve data quality, optimize financial processes, implement digital solutions, and enhance decision-making through advanced analytics and automation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with 3-5+ years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting, Financial Reporting, and General Ledger processes.
Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, fixed asset accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, internal controls, and statutory reporting requirements.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, including financial data management and reporting.
Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, Power Query, DAX, and financial data visualization for business decision-making.
Strong automation and analytical skills with experience in Excel VBA/Macros, Power Apps, Power Automate, and applying AI-enabled solutions for process improvement, anomaly detection, and predictive financial analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting certification.
Experience with AI/ML applications in finance, including predictive analytics, intelligent document processing, data classification, and fraud detection.
Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools and programming languages such as Python or R for financial analytics and automation.
