Fence Installation Foreman – Lead Commercial, Industrial & Federal Perimeter Projects for Able Fence

Job Overview

• Company: Able Fence.
• Salary/Pay Rate: $31.00 – $35.00 per hour (Hourly) plus Annual Bonus and Prevailing Wage Projects.
• Location: Columbus, OH (Travel Required up to 20%).

The Opportunity

You will serve as a premier field leader directing high-impact perimeter security installations across central Ohio and surrounding regions.

This leadership role gives you the autonomy to manage end-to-end commercial builds while actively mentoring the next generation of fence erectors.

You will lead crews from routine repairs to extensive 10,000+ linear-foot projects backed by an employee-first organization that values your expertise.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Direct field crews in executing complex perimeter installations ranging from precision repairs up to 10,000+ linear-foot perimeter builds.
• Train and mentor field installers to uphold company quality craftsmanship and safety standards.
• Interpret project blueprints, layout specs, and grade plans to establish precise fence post alignments and gate systems.
• Coordinate site concrete forming, post setting, structural assembly, and on-site welding or steel fabrication.
• Enforce strict on-site safety practices while maintaining an organized, productive, and secure staging area.
• Interface directly with project owners, general contractors, and clients to provide field progress updates and resolve field hurdles.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven leadership experience directing field crews on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil construction jobsites.
• Extensive hands-on background installing security fencing, commercial gates, and structural perimeter enclosures.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and layout work directly from construction blueprints and site plans.
• Demonstrated proficiency operating commercial installation power tools, augers, and equipment safely.
• Solid physical stamina to handle active outdoor site environments, material handling, and rigorous field labor.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for regional commercial and federal project sites.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 5 or more years of dedicated experience in commercial or industrial fence erection and crew supervision.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Practical experience in structural welding and on-site metal fabrication.
• Prior experience executing prevailing wage, industrial, or federal government perimeter installations.
