Job Description

The Co-Group are currently recruiting a Female Support Worker to provide ongoing, dedicated support for a participant in Banora Point, NSW.

This role would suit an experienced support worker who is passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and understands the importance of consistency, trust, and relationship building in achieving positive outcomes.

About the Role

The participant requires support from a confident, capable and compassionate support worker with experience supporting participants who have complex personal care and high-care needs.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience supporting NDIS participants with complex personal care needs.
  • Strong hands-on experience providing:
    • Showering and personal hygiene support
    • Dressing and grooming assistance
    • Continence care
    • Mobility and transfer support
    • Overnight supports
  • Experience working with participants who have:
    • Pressure injury risks
    • Skin integrity concerns
    • Other high-care support requirements
  • A strong understanding of:
    • Person-centred practice
    • Participant choice and control
    • Dignity of risk
    • Promoting independence

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Access to a comprehensive insured car with 5 seats
  • NDIS Module – Quality, Safety & You
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) for paid employment
  • Blue Card (WWCC) for paid employment
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using approved techniques.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
