Female Helper - On Campus Female Hostel

Helper is to assist hostel management in managing the on-campus hostel. She will assist in looking after all inventories of the hostel. She is to ensure safety & security, cleanliness, upkeep and maintenance of the hostel. She is to ensure that hostellites do not damage property, furniture or accessories provided by AKU and if anything is found damaged than immediately report to supervisor on duty. She is accountable to assist maintenance /fumigation staff while working in student’s room.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Supervisor (Off Campus) in the Female Hostel.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

• Responsible to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, upkeep and safety & security of the hostel.
• Ensuring that no unauthorized person or visitor stays in hostel without permission.
• Should be available to students to resolve their administrative problems, if problem are beyond his scope the same should immediately be communicated to Supervisor /Hostel Coordinator/ Manager.
• Ensure that hostellites do not damage property, furniture or accessories provided by AKU, if anything found damaged it should immediately be reported to Supervisor/Manager.
• Responsible and work with Supervisor/Hostel Coordinator to maintain all inventories of the hostel.
• Check working conditions of all electronic items available in hostel .
• Ensure that all notice boards are updated with recent notices.
• Report building damages immediately and determine students’ responsibility.
• Follow-up maintenance complaints on daily basis
• Ensure that room inventories are complete and any shortcoming should immediately be reported to Supervisor/Manager.
• Inform Supervisor if any unusual incident takes place in the premises of the hostel
• Accompany maintenance staff /fumigation staff while working in student’s room.
• Any other task assigned by the Supervisor / Hostel Coordinator /Manager.
• Ensure that all items issued to hostellites are returned in proper condition when vacating the hostel
• Ensure that all preparations are made when any new hostellite joins the hostel.

Requirements:

You should have:

• Minimum Matriculation qualification
• Prior experience working as a helper in a household or office environment
• Knowledge of emergency procedures
• Respectful and professional attitude towards superiors, colleagues, and students
• Ability to understand and follow simple instructions in Urdu related to job responsibilities
