Female Disability Support Worker – North Brisbane

Connecting Families is seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Disability Support Worker to support a 38-year-old female client in North Brisbane.

This is a casual position supporting a client with a C4 AIS B Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and complex physical, medical, and emotional needs.

The role involves providing in-home support, including personal care, manual handling, and assistance with daily living activities, while ensuring the client’s safety, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal care, manual handling, and daily living support
  • Supporting complex physical and mental health needs
  • Providing emotional support and meaningful engagement
  • Assisting with community access and promoting independence
  • Participating in effective shift handovers when required

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Disability (or equivalent)
  • Current Yellow Card and Blue Card
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in disability support or similar roles
