Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.

CHILDREN’S CANCER CENTRE
Fellow in Molecular Oncology / Precision Medicine


Full Time (1 Year)


Applications are now open for a Molecular Oncology / Precision Medicine fellow in the Children’s Cancer Centre, commencing February 2027.

This full time position comprises

-0.8 FTE allocated specifically to molecular oncology/precision medicine (curation and reporting on molecular oncology data; participation in ZERO molecular tumour boards; liaison with clinicians regarding precision medicine); and

- 0.2 FTE to the general clinical oncology service including ward rounds and outpatient clinics. Additional weekend service provision (on call and ward rounds) at a frequency on 1 in 7.

The molecular oncology fellow will receive one to one training in paediatric oncology, precision medicine and clinical trial management.

Trainees will be supported to participate in research activities, quality and improvement work, teaching and JMS supervision/mentoring.

Initial duration of the position will be 12 months fixed term from February 2027.

Salary will be in accordance with Enterprise Bargaining Award and level. Employer superannuation and salary packaging available.

Other requirements:

  • Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain
  • Compliance with RCHs “Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure
  • All International Medical Graduate applicants will need to meet the AHPRA English Language requirements
