We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Feed Production Manager to lead our feed manufacturing network through a period of significant transformation and long-term growth.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for multiple manufacturing facilities and a key contributor to operational performance, business planning, and capital investment decisions.
The successful candidate will lead both day-to-day manufacturing operations and major operational optimization initiatives, including production consolidation, capacity optimization, and continuous improvement efforts across the network.
Key responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations Leadership
Lead feed manufacturing and maintenance operations across multiple facilities.
Drive operational efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Standardize practices and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
Manufacturing Transformation
Lead manufacturing optimization and facility integration initiatives.
Improve production flow and network efficiency.
Manage change while ensuring uninterrupted customer service.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Align production capacity with customer demand and forecasts.
Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Nutrition teams.
Optimize inventory while maintaining service levels.
Asset Management & Capital Planning
Support manufacturing asset and capital investment strategies.
Improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
Lead capital projects from planning through execution.
Safety, Quality & Performance
Champion a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.
Maintain high standards of product quality and operational performance.
Drive measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, and reliability.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop Plant Managers and manufacturing leaders.
Build leadership capability and succession plans.
Foster a high-performing, engaged, and accountable culture.
Required qualifications
5-7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
Experience leading multi-site manufacturing operations.
Proven success leading operational transformation or facility consolidation initiatives.
Experience managing both production and maintenance functions.
Strong financial, operational, and strategic planning capabilities.
Experience leading capital projects and investment initiatives.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and change management efforts.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Agriculture, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in feed manufacturing, grain processing, food manufacturing, or another regulated production environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Experience participating in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
Familiarity with ERP and maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Project management experience.
