Hourly rate starting at: $ 26.67 per hour + Salary increases provided in the collective agreement and premium

Status: Permanent, Full-Time

Work schedules are: 8am to 4pm (day shift) 4pm to 12am (evening shift) or 12am to 8am (night shift)

**Candidates must be adaptable to flexible work hours including evening and night shifts

Job location: 47 Minas Warehouse Road, New Minas, NS

CHALLENGES WE OFFER

Working at our New Minas Feed Mill, this position could involve various tasks including:

• Learn proper operating techniques for all production and storage operations and related instructions and follow HACCP protocol;

• Mix and/or weigh product;

• Operate bulk receiving, grain processing, mixing and pelletizing equipment;

• Operate farm tractors, skid loader, forklifts and other machinery in a safe and responsible manner;

• Maintain accurate records when filling hammers, mixers, pelletizers, bench, warehouse and other activities that require records;

• Work and operate equipment safely and efficiently;

• Keep designated operating areas clean;

• Perform any other duties assigned to the operation;

• Load and unload feed trucks as required on site;

YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE

• Be physically able to repeatedly lift 25 kgs;

• Preferably have forklift experience;

• Have basic computer skills;

• Have general knowledge of safe work practices and safe lifting methods;

• Be comfortable working with heights (ladders with safety railings);

• Be able to work in a dusty environment;

• Be able to work the same shift for extended periods of time and change shifts on short notice;

• Be available to work overtime, sometimes on short notice;

• Enjoy teamwork.
