Job Description

Status : Permanent, Full-Time

Work schedules are: 6am to 2pm, 9am to 5 pm or 10pm to 6am

**Candidates must be adaptable to flexible work hours including evening and night shifts

Place of Work: 627 Plinguet St, Winnipeg, MB R2J 2W9.

Salary: $20 to $27 (Based on relevant experience in a comparable sector)

YOUR ROLE

You are responsible for preparing the preweigh, ensuring the quality and quantity of all handadds, also assists with the loading and unloading of trucks, bagging, and inventory management. He may be required to cover the bagging duties during holidays or absences of other staff members.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate feed mill equipment such as grinders, mixers, conveyors, pellet mills, and load-out systems;

  • Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to feed formulas and production schedules;

  • Monitor production processes to ensure product quality, consistency, and efficiency;

  • Perform routine equipment inspections, minor maintenance, and cleaning to prevent downtime and contamination;

  • Load and unload raw materials and finished feed, including bulk trucks and/or bagged products

  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, and quality control records;

  • Follow workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space, and dust control protocols;

  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to supervisors;

  • Assist with inventory management and raw material organization;

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment;

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to drive a forklift with a valid certification;

  • Previous experience in feed mill operations such as bagging, packaging, or warehouse operations preferred, an asset;

  • Some computer knowledge;

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, weighing, and labeling the bags;

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the production deadlines;

  • Ability to work flexible hours, shift work, including weekends and holidays, as needed;
