Job Description

Responsible for managing the overall manufacturing and quality of food for approx. 500 contract broiler farms, . Overseeing activities of maintenance department, both repairing and preventive, in order to ensure output. Supervise activities of grain operation as well as ensuring all other feed ingredients are readily available. Compliance with feed manufactured and delivered per all regulatory guidelines inclusive of FDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc., as well as compliance with internal Company standards. Maintain all FDA, Environmental and Safety records.

Duties/Activities Required by Job

  • Manage all production, maintenance, feed ingredients and feed grain quality to achieve top 20 % of Agristats, and meeting production and budgetary goals.. Working with Grow out and Feed mills to ensure accurate and efficient deliveries.
  • Plan/manage Capital budgets, CER's. ,Project management including but not limited to: planning, CER writing, project oversight, budget management and planning.
  • Provides overall direction and support to the group you manage to achieve operational and safety goals. Guides training & development activities to develop competence and commitment
  • Compile operating reports to assess and analyze performance for all areas of responsibility; that includes results and plans for improvement on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Gauge performance, Agri-Stats, budget vs actual, weekly reports. Ensure feed quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that safety, environmental, and quality standards are met or exceeded. Ensure compliance with all Regulatory agencies: FDA, Safety, Environmental

Educations/Experience Requirements

  • B.S.in agriculture or business preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in feed production
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to learn new skills, adapt to new policies & procedures quickly (i.e. VFD, FSMA, Safe Feed/Safe Food).
