Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma, UTMB Student enrolled at least half time. Job Description: This job is essentially a community service and tutoring position focused on helping children improve in reading, math, and science while also supporting community programs. Job Duties:Tutor students in reading, math, and science, especially students who need added academic support.Work with elementary, middle, and high school students, including at-risk students.Maintain tutoring materials and keep the tutoring area organized.Maintain records and prepare reports related to student tutoring.Travel to different work sites using your own transportation.Ability to provide your own transportation to and from sites Preferred Qualifications:Patience and ability to work with children.Strong communication skills.Basic reading, math, and science knowledge.Organization and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively with a Site Coordinator. Salary Range:Commensurate with experience.
