
**Federal Work Study Only**
The Biology Department’s Model Organism Kitchen is looking for an undergraduate assistant eligible for Federal Work Study during the 26-27 academic year to assist in producing critical growth media and other research materials to labs using the model organisms Drosophila melanogaster and Caenorhabditis elegans.
The undergraduate assistant will be responsible for:
Successful candidates must be able to learn and follow complex procedures, spot and address problems in quality control, and be comfortable using tools and equipment.
Scheduling: The position requires 10 hours per week on average with no more than 20 hours per week allowed.
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $14.53+ per hour depending on experience.

Experience: No specific research or technical experience is required, but back-of-house experience in food service, retail, etc. is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Due to the nature of the work the successful candidate must be able to lift and pull up to 50lbs.
