Aalis Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Federal Quality Assurance/Section 508 Reviewer to provide objective quality assurance and accessibility review of Federal regulatory and public-comment deliverables. The reviewer will independently verify the accuracy, consistency, completeness, accessibility, and overall quality of work products before submission to the Government.

This position requires a highly detail-oriented professional who can identify errors, inconsistencies, missing information, documentation gaps, accessibility issues, and other quality concerns without relying on the analyst who produced the work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently review Federal regulatory and public-comment deliverables for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and quality.
  • Verify comment counts, categorization, coding, source references, calculations, and supporting documentation.
  • Review analytical tables, spreadsheets, summaries, reports, and other customer deliverables.
  • Conduct independent quality-control reviews of comment-analysis products.
  • Identify discrepancies between source data and reported results.
  • Verify that methodologies and categorization standards have been applied consistently.
  • Review regulatory and policy documents for grammar, clarity, formatting, organization, and editorial quality.
  • Conduct Section 508 accessibility reviews of applicable Federal electronic documents and deliverables.
  • Identify accessibility issues involving document structure, headings, tables, hyperlinks, images, alternative text, reading order, and other applicable accessibility requirements.
  • Verify that final deliverables meet Government formatting and quality requirements.
  • Track identified issues and coordinate corrections with responsible team members.
  • Perform final reviews before submission to Government stakeholders.
  • Maintain QA/QC checklists, review documentation, and issue logs.
  • Support continuous improvement of project quality-control processes.
  • Provide an independent perspective and escalate significant quality or compliance concerns to project leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of Federal document QA/QC, regulatory, editorial, analytical, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing Federal Government deliverables.
  • Experience performing detailed quality-control reviews of complex documents and analytical work products.
  • Strong understanding of document consistency, source verification, accuracy, completeness, and editorial standards.
  • Demonstrated Section 508 accessibility experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently identify and document errors and discrepancies.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Federal regulatory or notice-and-comment rulemaking experience.
  • Public-comment analysis or FDMS/Regulations.gov experience.
  • USDA or other Federal agency experience.
  • Experience reviewing large-scale regulatory or analytical deliverables.
  • Experience with Section 508 testing tools and accessibility remediation.
  • Experience establishing or managing Federal QA/QC procedures.
