This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

This position is also responsible for leading the onboarding, integration, and operational delivery of applications within a highly regulated banking environment. The role ensures continuous execution of application onboarding, CRQ governance, and platform readiness, working closely with distributed teams across the U.S. and India.

The individual will own end‑to‑end delivery activities, including project planning, backlog management, prioritization, and status reporting, while guiding teams through architectural decisions, secure system integrations, and established bank processes. The role also serves as a key technical and governance liaison, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards for security, compliance, observability, and reliability, including EDIP and IAM requirements.

This position requires strong technical leadership across container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and application security, combined with a security‑first mindset, strong documentation practices, and effective cross‑functional collaboration. The role is critical to maintaining delivery continuity, SLA adherence, and risk mitigation following the transition of the current incumbent.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience delivering and supporting applications within a regulated enterprise or financial services environment
  • Strong hands‑on experience with containerized platforms (OpenShift and/or Kubernetes), including build and deployment workflows
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling (e.g., Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of application onboarding, system integration, and SDLC practices within enterprise environments
  • Experience working with observability and monitoring frameworks (logs, metrics, traces) and associated tools
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and application integration patterns
  • Strong understanding of security, IAM, authentication/authorization concepts, and compliance requirements
  • Experience leading or contributing to Agile/Scrum teams, including backlog management and delivery tracking using Jira
  • Ability to create and maintain technical, architectural, and process documentation (Confluence, SharePoint)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, NodeJS, Bash, YAML)
  • Effective collaboration skills with distributed teams across multiple geographies
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a security‑first and compliance‑first mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and business requirements

​Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in large financial institutions or other highly regulated environments
  • Prior experience leading or supporting application onboarding at enterprise scale
  • Hands‑on exposure to GitOps and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices (Helm, Terraform, etc.)
  • Familiarity with EDIP, GIS, or enterprise vulnerability management frameworks
  • Experience performing threat modeling, security reviews, or risk assessments
  • Working knowledge of modern UI frameworks (React, Angular) and associated deployment practices
  • Experience with event‑driven architectures, caching, and messaging platforms (Kafka, Redis)
  • Exposure to load testing and performance tuning for applications and platforms
  • Experience supporting both containerized and VM‑based workloads
  • Ability to act as a technical mentor and guide junior team members
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including interaction with security, risk, and governance teams
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI/LLMs to improve productivity, automation, and problem‑solving
  • Prior experience contributing to or shaping operating models, standards, or governance frameworks
  • Experience creating executive‑level dashboards or visual analytics (e.g., Tableau)
