This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

  • Leads requirements analysis, high level/low level designs, development and implementation of data integration solutions involving Spark/Scala and Informatica products.
  • Should be able to lead multiple projects concurrently each with competing deadlines.
  • Own and drive delivery of assigned features from requirements through implementation and production rollout.
  • Lead feature planning, estimation, prioritization, dependency management, and risk mitigation and coordinate across multiple teams to ensure consistent design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Track feature progress, manage issues and blockers, and provide status reporting to leadership and stakeholders and support production readiness activities, defect resolution, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Should be knowledgeable in Treasury Payments and Deposits domains.
  • Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides technical knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor.
  • Works under minimal supervision
  • Has the knowledge of Hadoop Spark/Spark Streaming best practices and standards as well as standard software development lifecycle experience.
  • Solid quantitative, analytical, process development, facilitation skills, and organizational skills required
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, software development and work management skills are essential
  • Coordinate with deployment and support teams and ensure projects are successfully deployed into testing and Production environments
  • Development experience using DevOps and Agile process
  • Experience in designing, developing and deploying Real time and Near real time & batch data integration solutions
  • Work with people in different time zones & teams

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)

Required Qualifications:

  • 11+ years of data delivery/integration experience
  • Very good understanding of Hadoop components, architecture & tool sets
  • Spark and Scala
  • Informatica
  • Must have Architected, developed & implemented solutions using real time streaming technologies (Spark Streaming/Kafka)
  • At least 3 years hands on experience in Scala
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Spark
  • Good knowledge of spark configurations and Spark/Scala performance tuning
  • Strong working knowledge on Hive, Impala, Oozie
  • Experience working with Exadata & Oracle SQL Tuning
  • Experience developing Streaming/Near Real time and Batch data integration solutions
  • Hands on experience in UNIX Shell Scripting
  • Working experience in scheduling jobs with Autosys
