This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

A successful candidate will participate in the transformation and implementation of a critical feed processing within the Compliance tech org in the bank. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills. Must have interpersonal skills with a proven track record of interacting with different groups and various levels of a large organization. Must be a strategic thinker who can focus on process improvement. As part of an agile scrum team, the candidate will work with users to refine requirements, design and develop high-quality and scalable database systems. The candidate will be responsible for driving architecture and implementation of key program initiatives. The candidate will be expected to be a hands on architect and developer with the ability to drive design and implementation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of application development experience with Expertise in developing highly optimized Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code for large-scale data processing. Or equivalent experience in job related field .
  • Extensive hands-on experience with relational and dimensional data modeling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
  • Strong proficiency with Informatica (PowerCenter and IDMC) along with Linux/Unix scripting.
  • Advanced query and application performance tuning capabilities, especially in high-volume environments.
  • Deep understanding of Oracle database architecture and core database internals
  • Experience with data warehousing and OLTP solutions * Strong in PL/SQL
  • Experience with JOB Scheduling tools.
  • Real Time application experience with MQ, Kafka or similar Technology
  • Experience in Unix environment and Shell scripting
  • Familiarity with security vulnerabilities
  • Familiarity with unit testing, testing methodology, JIRA and infrastructure support
  • Ability to apply architectural patterns and principles to achieve reusability, testability, scalability and maintainability
  • Experience with modeling tools and notation
  • Experience with CI /CD Pipeline setup and End to End Automation for build and deployment.
  • Experience with release management, branching strategies and distributed source control systems such as GIT
  • Experience and desire to work in an Agile process (pair programming, daily stand-ups, etc.)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of problem domain in which they have been working * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work comfortably as a team player

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with domain driven design
  • Distributed systems experience
  • Experience integrating Data Warehouse solutions with Business Intelligence platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau development and dashboard visualization.
  • Familiarity with Delta Lake and Lakehouse architectures.
  • Experience working with containers and cloud platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Relevant industry (Compliance, Entity/Transaction Scanning etc.) experience
  • Familiarity with SSO and SAML based user authentications.
  • Banking and Financial experience - Sanctions and Anti–Money Laundering (AML) domains
