Job Description

The Financial Services Department of MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking a Property Summer Hire. Reporting to the Property Supervisor, this position will require using established policies and procedures in life-cycle government property management accountability of tangible equipment and material at Lincoln Laboratory. Experience with inventories and IUID process a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Property reconciliation and tagging.
  • Conducting inventory using bar code scanners.
  • Plans and executes internal inventories according to a planned schedule. Keeps track of inventory discrepancies and group to reconcile.
  • Interacts and coordinates property related activities with the Technical Divisions, Service Departments.
  • Reconciles and updates the IUID registry for required additions/deletions to system.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college degree program with previous Property Management experience is required.
  • Experience complying with FAR 52.245-1 Government Property (includes Alternate 11),
  • Must be an organized person skilled at keeping track of inventory information within a dynamic work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience using SAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  • Ability to analyze, discuss results/reports to supervisor
  • Able to work independently, seek out answers to problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Compensation for 2026

  • Technical Co-Op: $24.50 – $31.00 per hour (based on year in school)
  • Administrative Co-Op: $21.50 – $25.00 per hour (based on year in school)

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
