TheDeputyQuality Control Manager assists in the development, implementation, and management of the project quality control program. This role supports the Quality Control Manager in ensuring that adequate systems are in place to maintain the integrity of project plans and that all procedures defined in the Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP) are properly implemented and followed. This position is designed as a developmental role with a clear progression path to Construction Quality Control Manager, providing hands-on exposure to all aspects of project quality management and leadership responsibilities.
Job Duties
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Construction Quality Management System for the project, including the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP).
Assist in overseeing field Quality Control activities.
Assist in the preparation of quality reports, audits, and in the review of QA/QC documentation and test results.
Assist in ensuring compliance with contract documents, the QMP, and applicable Federal, State, Local, ISO 9001, and other regulatory requirements.
Assist in maintaining and reporting quality management system records in accordance with project and corporate requirements.
Assist in managing nonconformities, including support in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Assist in attending and supporting meetings related to Quality matters and progressively represent the Quality function.
Assist in distributing relevant QC documentation to subcontractors, internal teams, and stakeholders.
Assist in verifying that construction activities comply with applicable codes and standards.
Assist in developing and supporting Quality trainings and performing QC audits for the project and subcontractors.
Assist, in coordination with Construction and Procurement teams, in reviewing material submittals and contractual specifications.
Assist in the evaluation of consultants and subcontractors as defined in the QMP.
Assist in coordination between Quality, Construction, and Engineering teams to support project delivery objectives.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’sDegreeinCivilEngineering, Construction Science, or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum offive(5)years of experience in quality controlor construction related roles
Experienceoninfrastructure projects (highways, bridges/structures, paving, utilities) preferred.
Familiarity with quality management systems and construction standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint) and document control systems.
Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills with ability to grow into leadership responsibilities.
