Business Intelligence (BI) Lead

This Management Information (MI) Expertise Lead position is based in the Philippines.

1. Role Summary

MI Expertise Lead (Philippines)

  • Leads design & delivery of operational MI for global Retail CDD
  • Co-defines data & MI strategy for Retail FCP with Data Product Lead
  • Acts as bridge between demand and supply for data, operations, and WFM
  • Drives standardisation, prioritization, governance, and insight-led steering

2. Scope & Impact

Owns MI capability across Global FCP / Retail Operations:

  • Performance & analytics productivity, quality, pipeline, efficiency
  • Operational MI enables country & hub steering
  • Data management quality, consistency, governance
  • Compliance regulatory and audit adherence
  • Stakeholders front office, operations, risk, tribes
  • Change drives adoption across countries and hubs

3. Core Responsibilities

Strategy & Governance

  • Define and maintain global MI strategy aligned to Retail FCP priorities
  • Establish data governance standards (accuracy, consistency, security)
  • Ensure regulatory and audit compliance in reporting

MI Delivery

  • Design global dashboards, scorecards, KPIs
  • Deliver recurring and ad-hoc reporting
  • Translate data into actionable insights for leadership

Standardisation & Optimisation

  • Drive harmonisation across countries and hubs
  • Streamline data collection and transformation
  • Implement quality assurance controls

Tooling & Capability

  • Lead adoption of Power BI, Tableau, SAP BI
  • Act as MI SME (frameworks, tools, best practice)
  • Integrate new technologies and benchmarks

Leadership & Stakeholders

  • Lead MI team in ING Hubs Philippines
  • Manage global stakeholders (countries, ops, tribes)
  • Partner with WFM on productivity, STP, E2E flow

We are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business/ Finance or any equivalent course
  • You have 7+ years relevant work experience in an international operations context, preferably in a banking environment with an operational production focus, including experience of working with sourcing centers or, in ING or ING Hubs
  • You have 3+ years designing & running MI reporting, or Business Intelligence in an operational context, preferably in KYC / Compliance and/or CDD functions
  • Nice to have: You have 1+ year of working experience with KYC (CDD, FATCA, CRS), Financial Economic Crime, Anti-Money Laundering or Compliance and in leading teams in a matrix / hybrid set up (global)
  • You have a strong experience in a working in a complex global matrix organization, with ability to interact with and drive progress amongst senior stakeholders
  • You have proven change management skills
  • Proven ability to drive Operational MI reporting from the centers and countries, including FTE, performance and quality tracking,
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and other BI & Data visualization software like (MS Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, etc.)
  • You have an efficiency and automation-oriented mindset with a proven track record of designing tools and solutions for improvement of operations processes and MI.
  • You have a proven profound understanding of data, demonstrated digital and technological savviness, successful experience in driving innovation
  • You have excellent communication, presentation, networking and influencing skills
  • You have proven leadership competencies, and you demonstrate self-awareness.
  • You are fluent in English (speaking and writing).
