About FCM

FCM is more than just one of the world’s largest travel management companies with a 24/7 reach in over 100 companies. We’re a movement of over 6,500 changemakers, travel gurus, performance improvers and leaders without limits, on a mission to help the world’s biggest companies move smoother. We’re officially a great place to work, but also a company like no other. Why? Because we thrive on change. We’re fuelled by what we call our alternative mindset. This is FCM, where different happens.

About the role

As Business Development Manager – Germany, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating FCM Travel’s growth in one of our most strategically important European markets. Based ideally in Berlin, you will be responsible for winning new small to mid-size corporate clients across Germany, typically managing organisations with annual travel spend of €500k–€20M.

You will own the full end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to solution design, presentations, negotiation, and closing. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll engage with senior decision-makers across procurement, finance, and travel, demonstrating how FCM’s technology-led, flexible service model delivers measurable value and enhances traveller wellbeing.

Working closely with a local sales team and wider regional and global stakeholders, you’ll help build FCM’s brand presence, identify high-potential verticals, and contribute market insight to shape our ongoing commercial strategy. While Germany is the core focus, there is future opportunity to support expansion into the Swiss German market.

This role offers the chance to make a visible impact, combining autonomy, collaboration, and long-term career growth within a high-performing, people-first organisation.

About you

You are a driven, consultative B2B sales professional with a strong track record of winning complex mid-market clients in competitive environments. You bring deep understanding of the German business landscape, including local procurement processes, buying behaviours, and corporate culture.

You will likely bring:

  • 4+ years’ experience in B2B sales, with at least 2 years managing complex, multi-stakeholder deals

  • Proven success securing mid-market contracts, including six- and seven-figure agreements

  • An existing network of German business contacts and confidence engaging C-level stakeholders

  • Fluency in German and English, with strong presentation and negotiation skills

  • Experience managing a full sales pipeline using Salesforce or a comparable CRM

  • The ability to work independently, manage a territory, and travel as required

What's in it for you

  • A welcoming team Become part of a friendly, collaborative team where everyone is on a first-name basis.
  • Flat hierarchies and autonomy We combine flat hierarchies with plenty of personal responsibility, giving you room to showcase your skills and make an impact.
  • Professional growth Benefit from excellent training and development opportunities, as well as the chance to work with our international teams.
  • Flexible hybrid work culture Remote work is part of our DNA. Our modern, centrally located Berlin office provides an inspiring space whenever you want to work on-site.
  • 30 days annual leave Enjoy a full 30 days of vacation per year (full-time equivalent) to recharge and explore.
  • Monthly benefits voucher Receive a 50€ monthly voucher to choose from various offers via Navit or Emplu.
  • Employee stock program Participate in our company's success and growth through our employee stock program.
  • Health & wellbeing Take advantage of our health initiatives including company runs, wellness workshops, challenges and more.
  • Exciting events Join us at local and international events – our way of saying thank you for your great work.
  • Travel perks As part of an international travel company, you'll enjoy exclusive travel-related discounts and appealing benefits.

About Flight Centre Travel Group

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is one of the world’s largest travel companies, employing 15,000 like-minded individuals – known as ‘Flighties’.

Our story dates to 1973, when founder Graham Turner (aka “Skroo") and friend Geoff “Spy” Lomas buy a double-decker bus and take off on their first tour around Spain, Portugal and Morrocco, 3 years later forming the first business, Top Deck. After flight deregulations in the 80s our first retail "Flight Centre" stores opened in Australia in 1982, London in 1984, and NZ in 1987.

1987 was also the year we held our first “Global Gathering” awards event celebrating our amazing people, a tradition that continues to this day.

And in 2025 we launched our very first loyalty program, World360 Rewards! Our Australian customers now able to earn and redeem points across Flight Centre, Travel Associates, and Cruiseabout.

We’re in our 40s now and a lot has changed! With global headquarters in Brisbane, Australia, our company owned leisure and corporate travel businesses span three major regions: APAC, The Americas and EMEA.

Our flagship corporate travel management brand, FCM, extends our reach even further through a network covering over 100 countries via both company-owned operations and independent licensees.

With 30 brands across our global footprint, our team spans from customer-facing to internal support roles. The opportunities just as diverse – from a Travel Consultant at Flight Centre or Envoyage, to a Machine Learning Scientist in one of our tech pillars.

Together, we live and breathe our number one philosophy, Our People, driven by our purpose ‘To open up the world for those who want to see’.

Our values are simple and powerful - Ownership, Egalitarianism and Irreverence.

We support our people with opportunities to help you thrive, connect, give, move and be rewarded. Our people have access to a suite of curated benefits to ensure holistic wellbeing – from mental and physical health to financial freedom.
