cFocus Software seeks a Security Architect to join our program supporting the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This position is remote. This position requires the ability a Public Trust clearance. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, engineering, or related field
Experience in enterprise cybersecurity, network operations, or security engineering environments
Experience working in federal or highly regulated environments preferred
Required Certifications
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Or equivalent cybersecurity leadership certifications
Duties:
Establish and maintain enterprise security architecture aligned with federal cybersecurity mandates
Provide recommendations on technology selection, design, and implementation
Design and validate secure architectures across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
Ensure alignment with NIST, FISMA, RMF, Zero Trust, and other federal standards
Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and security engineering evaluations
Define security controls, segmentation strategies, and defense-in-depth architectures
Support integration of SOC/NOC tools including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and IDS/IPS
Develop architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical standards
Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and operations teams to ensure secure system integration
Support continuous monitoring, threat detection, and vulnerability management initiatives
Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and recommend improvements
