What we want
The FBS Coordinator I is responsible for providing direct financial support and coordinating a variety of university and departmental business operations. The successful candidate will process accounts payable transactions for departmental accounts while ensuring accuracy and compliance with university policies. This position will assist in maintaining monthly financial transactions supporting university compliance and financial oversight. The coordinator will also assist in preparing One Card non-travel reports for a variety of departments within the Division of Student Affairs.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Business Support
May enter and review travel expense reports
Meets established processing goals as directed
May prepare and update standard reports
May assist with account verification or reconciliation and research discrepancies
May assist with gathering transaction data/information
Accounting/Documentation
Prepares and coordinates documentation of basic purchasing documents including vouchers, payment cards, and vendors
Enters documentation for contracts, receipts, and invoices in the appropriate system with minimal errors
Reviews documents for mathematical accuracy, proper coding, compliance, and approval as directed
Assigns commodity or account codes to requisitions and invoices as directed
May review financial transactions for compliance
Customer Support
May coordinate problem-solving and/or training for customers on tracking, payment issues or general expense questions
May coordinate a specialized task for one or more units
May research and communicate policies and procedures to unit or departments
May provide customer service
Department Use
Provides administrative support for departmental financial operations and performs other duties as assigned
Assists with monthly reconciliation of Texas A&M University and Texas A&M Foundation accounts
Assists with tracking outstanding invoices, payment deadlines and reconciliation activities
What You Need to Know
Salary $45,000-$48,000 annually

Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Four years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency working in financial databases
Experience with office management and/or financial management
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
