Responsibleto assist the Executive Restaurant & BarManager for the overall operation of food & beverage outlets as directed by the Executive Restaurant & Bar Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Makes recommendations to hire, terminate, promote, demote, transfer, provide training opportunities, recommend merit increases, evaluate performance, create and adjust performance standards, create and/or delegate staff scheduling, invoke disciplinary action and provide for the fair and equitable treatment of all TeamMembers.
• Fosters a culture of learning and development; supports individual growth through continuous feedback to achieve personal and professional goals
• Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
• Exhibits Leadership skills through the continuous evaluation, guidance and encouragement of Team Members.
• Maintains knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
• Recommends process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy.
• Fill in wherever needed within the department when short on staff.
• Prepares and cooks food, as needed, adhering to and following all Tribal food service sanitation and safety handling guidelines.
• Monitors and maintains beverage cost control methods andprocedures.
• Prepares methods and procedures whereby beverage costs and supplies are requisitioned andcharged to properareas.
• Monitors and maintains beverage sequence ofservice.
• Monitors guests’ consumption of alcohol and intervenes as necessary according to companypolicy.
• Communicates variances from the established standards to the Executive Restaurant & Bar Manager
• Completes the required daily financial tools andreports.
• Works with Finance and IT teams to ensure that all revenue is captured and reported in an accurate and relevantmanner.
• Solicits guest feedback by direct interaction and commentcards.
• Acts immediately on any guest complaint to ensure that corrections are made and that 100% Satisfaction Guarantees invocations aremade.
• Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable work environment
• Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethicalmanner.
• Completesschedules and timecard reviews/approvals through the company approved system
• Places orders for dining room supplies and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Attends all meetings as required.
• Completes all required training satisfactorily.
• Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Works at other properties as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned within the scope ofthe position

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years’ experience, two (2) of which were as a Food and/or BeverageSupervisor or an equivalent combination of education andexperience.
• Knowledge of Wines and Mixologyrequired.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, leadership, communication, team building and problem-solving skills arerequired.
• Knowledge of all phases ofBeverage.
• Ability to work liquor control system and trouble shoot ifnecessary.
• Must complete TIPS training and certification within thirty (30) days of employment or provide proof of current certifications and must keep current.
• Must be able to handle busy periods during peak servicetimes.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50)lbs.
• Must be able to bend, kneel andreach and be able to stand or walk for long periods of time with infrequent and brief rest periods
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced computer skills, experience using Microsoft Office products or related software and ability to quickly learn specialized software programs.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Must be flexible with shifts and daysoff with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, special events, etc., as needed.
• You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of theposition.
• Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke-filledenvironment.
• Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance with the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming RegulatoryCommission and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law
