Main Duties:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise staff during events, delegate work
  • Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), change logs, outlet schedules, and business traffic reports.
  • Maintain departmental calendars, event documentation, and internal communications supporting restaurant and banquet operations.
  • Input restaurant and banquet events into EMS and manage OpenTable configurations for outlets and special events.
  • Support outlet and banquet leadership with administrative and operational coordination across daily F&B operations.
  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly inventories, including linen orders and inventory tracking.
  • Support development and updates of outlet and banquet menus, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
  • Assist with scheduling coordination in alignment with collective bargaining agreements and operational needs.
  • Process invoices and maintain accurate administrative and operational records.
  • Serve as a point of contact for departmental calls and operational inquiries.
  • Provide on-site support during events or peak service periods and coordinate staff assigned to events when leadership is not present.
  • Assist with onboarding coordination, training logistics, and uniform inventory processes.
  • Maintain organized and sanitary departmental workspaces in partnership with operations teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support Food & Beverage operations.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience in F&B operations or similar.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Banquet operations experience.
  • Previous leadership/supervisory experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, using proper grammar and professional language.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality guest service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to assess situations, exercise sound judgment, and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, hotel/property management systems (e.g., Opera), and electronic reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable).
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and menu/creative design software (e.g., Canva).
  • Ability to organize work effectively, maintain attention to detail, and follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established procedures.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing. *Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time and carry.
  • Must be able to work in busy and chaotic work environments during peak business periods.
  • Must be able to work in multiple climates and work environments.
  • Must be able to deal with loud noise, special effect lighting, etc.

This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
