
F&B Guest Service Agent

At InterContinental Sapporo, we are looking for a passionate and service-driven Food & Beverage Guest Service Agent to deliver exceptional guest experiences. In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing outstanding customer-focused service under the direction of the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor, in alignment with IHG’s policies and procedures as well as local hotel guidelines. You will work in one of the following outlets within the hotel: All Day Dining Restaurant, Signature Kappo Restaurant, Lobby Lounge or Club Lounge.
Your Day-to-Day
As a Food & Beverage Guest Service Agent, you will:
Financial Returns
Engage with guests about menu items and beverage offerings
Upsell beverages in a responsible and engaging manner, adhering to alcohol service regulations
Promote and sell cocktails and specialty beverages
Encourage recycling and implement cost-saving measures where applicable
People
Communicate any guest concerns, service issues, or relevant updates to your supervisor
Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and team members
Participate in daily briefings and scheduled meetings
Attend and engage in training sessions to continually improve service standards
Guest Experience
Deliver high-standard food and beverage service in line with departmental expectations
Prepare effectively for each service period
Ensure smooth and timely delivery of both food and beverages
Address and resolve guest complaints or feedback professionally and promptly
Follow hotel procedures for storing food and beverage stock safely and appropriately
Responsible Business
Adhere to hotel procedures for inventory control and stock storage
Complete any assigned duties or special projects as needed
Understand and apply OH&S (Occupational Health & Safety) policies to ensure safe working conditions for yourself and others
What We Need from You
High School Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field
Previous experience in food & beverage or hospitality preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset
Proficiency in Japanese is required; English is highly desirable
Must meet local requirements for food handling and alcohol service (certifications may be required)
