We’re Seeking a Food & Beverage General Manager Who Can Lead the Experience

Position Summary
The Food & Beverage General Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day leadership and performance of the property’s Food & Beverage operation.
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, this position oversees service execution, leadership development, guest satisfaction, labor, financial performance, training, inventory, compliance, and operating standards across all F&B outlets.
The F&B General Manager directly supports and develops the F&B Assistant General Manager and F&B Managers, while ensuring that departmental strategy is consistently translated into strong operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible leadership presence during service.
- Ensure outlets are properly staffed, stocked, organized, and guest-ready.
- Monitor service quality, pacing, cleanliness, atmosphere, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Handle escalated guest concerns and support service recovery.
- Build relationships with members, VIPs, regulars, and hotel guests.
- Ensure consistent execution of service standards, SOPs, and brand expectations.
- Lead, coach, and develop the F&B Assistant General Manager and F&B Managers.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and retention.
- Conduct regular coaching and performance conversations.
- Identify high-potential employees and support internal development.
- Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and genuine hospitality.
- Partner with the Director of F&B on revenue, profitability, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Monitor labor, payroll, overtime, and scheduling efficiency.
- Review sales, labor, cost of goods, and operational performance.
- Control expenses without compromising the guest experience.
- Monitor comps, voids, discounts, waste, breakage, and other controllable costs.
- Oversee inventory controls and established par levels.
- Monitor food and beverage cost, product usage, and variances.
- Partner with Culinary and Purchasing on ordering and product availability.
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, rotation, and handling procedures.
- Support waste reduction and cost-control initiatives.
- Maintain strong knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, spirits, and outlet concepts.
- Partner with Culinary to ensure food quality, presentation, and ticket-time standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, liquor, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
- Ensure required employee certifications remain current.
- Partner with Engineering and Guest Relations on maintenance, safety, and operational concerns.
- Maintain strong partnerships with Culinary, Membership, Rooms, Spa, Engineering, Finance, HR, and Marketing.
- Support special events, programming, and activations.
- Review operational and financial reports.
- Lead F&B management meetings and ensure follow-through on action items.
- Support departmental planning, forecasting, and special projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Significant progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience.
- Previous experience managing managers in a multi-outlet environment.
- Hotel, resort, lifestyle hospitality, upscale restaurant, or high-volume experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant, bar, pool, and beverage operations.
- Demonstrated experience with P&L management, budgeting, labor, inventory, and cost control.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent guest recovery and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with POS, scheduling, payroll, and inventory systems.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
