Job Shift: AnyIf you are seeking a new, exciting challenge in the food & beverage industry, a fantastic new opportunity exists for a talented, experienced Food & Beverage Director at the Zermatt Utah (aka Zermatt Resort & Spa), located in beautiful Midway, UT We have a casual dining restaurant, Wildfire Smokehaus; and a new bar, The Pub at Zermatt; the thriving Banquets Dept, award-winning Bakery, room service, and our renowned fine dining restaurant, Z's Steak & Chop Haus. We are seeking a Food & Beverage Director to lead the food and beverage team.
The Food & Beverage Director will be responsible for developing and leading the food and beverage team as well as the operational detail relating to the delivery of an excellent food and beverage experience to each guest of our restaurants, bar, bakery, and group banquet service at the Zermatt. Extensive experience in all aspects of food & beverage is required.
Essential Functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• High level leadership and communications skills
• Directing all food and beverage Front of House operations to ensure quality service and standards, while also delivering a unique guest experience
• Recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring the F&B Front of House management team (Restaurant Managers, etc.)
• Upholding training procedures and manuals for both fine and casual dining
• Determining short and long term capital expenditure needs
• Establishing goals and developing programs for increasing departmental revenue
• Assisting in the development and conceptualization of new/revised menus, as needed
• Assist in developing budgets and ensure maintain profitability of all revenue centers
• Control labor costs and cost of goods sold
• Ensuring all State and County food and alcohol service procedures are strictly adhered to and that employees' Food Handler & Alcohol Server licenses/permits are current
• Assisting in helping the Marketing team market the F&B outlets
• Solving challenges & issues as they arise – both with guests & with employees
• Ensuring the Front of House and Back of House teams work together as a cohesive team
